ABOUT THE HERBAL ZEN

The Herbal Zen is a small-batch manufacturer of aromatherapy shower steamers based in Norristown, PA. Since 2018, we've been handcrafting products using essential oils and shipping them to customers and retail partners across the country.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We're hiring a full-time Seasonal Packaging & Assembly Specialist to join our manufacturing team during our busiest season.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment. Every finished product that leaves our workshop represents The Herbal Zen brand, making this role an important part of delivering a consistent customer experience.

You'll work alongside a small production team in a climate-controlled workshop where quality, teamwork, and consistency are at the center of everything we do.

This is a Monday-Friday, day-shift position with no nights or weekends.

Training is provided, though experience in manufacturing, assembly, food production, bakery production, cosmetic production, packaging, or other hands-on production environments is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assemble finished shower steamer products while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards

• Package shower steamer tablets into finished retail products by carefully placing tablets into pouches, heat-sealing for freshness, and operating shrink-wrap equipment (training provided).

• Build variety boxes by assembling the correct blends into each retail box with accuracy and attention to detail

• Inspect finished products throughout the assembly process to ensure every item meets our quality standards before reaching customers

• Prepare bulk case box shipments for retail partners while maintaining accuracy, organization, and efficiency

• Maintain production pace while staying focused on quality throughout repetitive, hands-on work

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop, including daily cleanup and restocking tasks

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, food production, bakery production, cosmetic production, packaging, or other hands-on production environments is preferred but not required

• Enjoy repetitive, hands-on work and take pride in maintaining consistency and quality throughout the day

• Strong hand dexterity and the ability to carefully handle small, delicate products

• Comfortable performing quality checks while maintaining production pace

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

• Must have reliable transportation to and from our Norristown workshop

• Comfortable standing for 7+ hours each day

• This role regularly involves lifting bulk product and case boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable lifting and carrying this weight throughout the workday as needed.

• Available full-time, Monday through Friday, August 17, 2026 through January 30, 2027

• Able to follow instructions, learn new processes, and maintain production standards

• Willing to wear required PPE and follow workshop safety procedures (gloves and hair net/hat daily, face mask when required)

• Dress appropriately for a production environment, including closed-toe shoes and comfortable work clothing

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Each shift includes a 45-minute unpaid lunch break and one paid 15-minute afternoon break.
