  • BLS (AHA).
  • ACLS (AHA).
    Job Details
  • RN for Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
  • All patients on bedside cardiac monitors.
  • Typically 1:4 RN to patient ratios.
  • 36 hours weekly, every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have current nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start.
  • Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% passing score.
  • Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% score.
  • Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% score.
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
  • Must provide documented proof of immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza vaccine (optional), Fit Test, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire, Health Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment and updated annually.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night shift).
  • 36 hours weekly.
  • Every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 1:4 nurse to patient ratio.
  • All patients on bedside cardiac monitors.
    Additional Details
  • Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
  • Ascension Resume required for submission.
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
  • License/Certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start.
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be completed.
  • Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
  • Ascension Badge Photo required (forward facing headshot with white or blue background).
  • Ascension Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others completed within 90 days of first assignment and updated annually.
  • Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >90 days.
  • Ascension Profile and 2 Professional References required prior to first assignment.
  • Ascension Employment Verification for past seven years required and updated annually.
  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and each extension.
