Monroe, NC - Locums Pediatric Acute Care NP/PAAvailability
Start Date: ASAPAssignment: Ongoing
Coverage Needed:
- 5-10 days per month
- 14-hour night shifts (5:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Licensure & Certifications
- Active North Carolina License or Compact License - Required
- Board Certified - Required
- Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification (PNP-AC/CPNP-AC) or Physician Assistant Certification - Required
- BLS - Required
- PALS - Required
- DEA - Required
Required Experience
- Pediatric Acute Care
- Admissions
- Assigned and unassigned patient rounding
- Accept and admit pediatric patients
- Cross-cover inpatient pediatric unit and Hospital at Home as needed
- Provide virtual ED consults to regional sites as needed
- Pediatric experience preferred
NP Requirements:
- Acute Care Pediatric certification for ages birth-18 is required.
- Family Nurse Practitioners are eligible only if they also hold a Pediatric Acute Care certification (PNP-AC/CPNP-AC).
- Non-acute care Pediatric NPs, Neonatal NPs, and Adult/Geriatric NPs are not eligible.
Schedule
- 14-hour night shifts
- 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- No Call
- Average Daily Census: 6.5 patients
Practice Details
- Community Hospital
- 8-bed pediatric unit with on-site Pediatric Emergency Department
- APP responsible for admissions and inpatient coverage
- Physician backup available by phone throughout each shift
- Private office and call room available
- EMR: Epic
