The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking outstanding clinical faculty members to pursue a career as academic clinician-educators with administrative leadership responsibilities in Antimicrobial Stewardship.
Position Summary We are recruiting an Attending Infectious Diseases Physician who will:
- Provide care in both the ambulatory clinic and the inpatient consultative service
- Serve as the Director of Adult Inpatient Antimicrobial Stewardship at a large academic hospital
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of three inpatient Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacists to optimize antibiotic utilization, evaluate and implement program initiatives, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:
- Clinical training and experience in Infectious Diseases in both acute care hospital and ambulatory settings
- At least 2 years of operational Antimicrobial Stewardship experience
- Experience collaborating with pharmacists and other professionals to support stewardship initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead interdisciplinary efforts
- A track record of scholarly work in antimicrobial resistance or stewardship (highly desirable)
- Previous leadership experience (preferred)
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases and legally authorized to work in the United States.
