Machine Operator
Pay rate: $17.50/Hr.
Location: Houston, TX 77041
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery used to manufacture high-quality alloy and stainless steel fasteners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machines used in the manufacturing of alloy and stainless steel fasteners.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper machine operation throughout production runs.
- Perform routine machine adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality specifications.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections.
- Identify machine malfunctions or production issues and report them to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep machines clean and properly lubricated.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality control, and warehouse personnel to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience working with metal products, fasteners, CNC equipment, or cold heading/thread rolling machines is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to read measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
