Machine Operator

Pay rate: $17.50/Hr.

Location: Houston, TX 77041

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery used to manufacture high-quality alloy and stainless steel fasteners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machines used in the manufacturing of alloy and stainless steel fasteners.
  • Load raw materials and ensure proper machine operation throughout production runs.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality specifications.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections.
  • Identify machine malfunctions or production issues and report them to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep machines clean and properly lubricated.
  • Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality control, and warehouse personnel to meet daily production goals.


Qualifications:

  • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience working with metal products, fasteners, CNC equipment, or cold heading/thread rolling machines is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
