About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in St. Ignace, Michigan, beginning August 2026. This role focuses on adult and geriatric primary care in a supportive clinical setting, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and geriatric patients
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic disease care
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Active FNP certification (board-certified)
- Current, unrestricted Michigan NP license
- Experience in adult/geriatric primary care preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR strongly preferred
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- DEA license in good standing
