Job description

Schedule:
  • Candidates must be available for 2 weeks per month
  • Patient Contact Hours: Variable
  • Schedule: Mon-Thurs (most likely)
  • Shifts per month: 16
  • Shift length: 8 hours
  • Clinic hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • On Call: potentially one week and one weekend per month. Phone calls only.

  • Inpatient Responsibilities: yes, - Very infrequent that you would need to go to the hospital for a consult.
  • Hospitalists admit all patients. Physicians typically just field phone calls from hospitalists.

  • Telehealth: No
  • Job Responsibilities: Consults, follow up care, oversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinic.
  • Number of Advanced Practice Provider: 2
  • Supervision of APP expected: No
  • Nursing Support Ratio: 2 nurses /1 provider along with referral and triage nurses
  • Ancillary Staff per provider: Reception, lab, social worker, referrals, dietician
  • Services offered in the practice: Antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsies.
  • Number of exam room: 4
  • Medical Imaging: Yes
  • Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
  • Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 16-20
  • Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 0-2
  • Appointment length: This can be adjusted to the provider- 15/20 fu and 60 consults

Submission Requirements :
  • Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology - Required
  • Willing to review candidates Board Certified in Oncology with strong Hem/Onc experience - please note at time of name clear - Required
  • Active IA License or Active IMLC (please upload LOQ at time of name clear) - Required
  • Must be Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology - Required
  • Must be available at least 2 weeks per month (Mon-Thurs) - please note at time of name clear - Required
  • Must be experienced - Highly Preferred - will also review new grads
