Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 17,000 Annual ED Visits

Admissions: Included

Case Mix: Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 15 Emergency Department Beds

Trauma Level: TBD

EMR System: Modern EMR

Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department Resources

Specialty Backup Available: Dependable Specialty Support

Support Staff Available: APC Coverage (10 Hours Daily)

Physician Coverage: 24 Hours Daily

Hospital Beds: 103

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Indiana Medical License, Indiana Controlled Substance Registration, and DEA with Indiana Address Required

Board: Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM or Current ABMS-Recognized Specialty with Qualifying Emergency Medicine Experience

DEA: Active DEA Required

Certifications: BLS or CPR Certification Required

Experience: New EM Residency Graduates Within the Past 12 Months Accepted; Internal Medicine Physicians Must Have Five Years of Continuous Full-Time Experience in a High-Volume Emergency Department (>30,000 Annual Visits)

Other Qualifications: Documentation of Case Logs for the Past Two Years; CME Attestation Required During Application Process



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate, Diagnose, and Treat Emergency Department Patients

Manage Acute and Emergent Medical Conditions

Perform Emergency Medicine Procedures Including Moderate Sedation

Collaborate with APCs and Specialty Consultants

Complete Accurate and Timely Medical Documentation

Deliver High-Quality Patient Care in a Collaborative Team Environment
