We are currenlty seeking :
The Market Director for Medical Staff Services directs credentialing, privileging, governance, and regulatory compliance across the continuum of care. This leader aligns medical staff operations for the academic medical center, community hospital, and medical group, ensuring seamless provider onboarding and continuous adherence to quality and safety standards. The Market Director is responsible for the overall management of the Medical Staff Office, which includes credentialing of the physicians and allied health professionals, development of departmental policies and procedures, development and maintenance of budget and maintaining compliance with all regulatory agency requirements and accrediting body standards. This individual acts as a resource and is a liaison between Administration and the Medical Staff. Coordinates the medical staff meetings with hospital departments and medical staff. Prepares agendas and PowerPoint presentations for medical staff meetings to include transcribing minutes. Communicates and coordinates with physicians, management team, and outside entities to facilitate credentials review. Responsible for the management of all functions of the Medical Staff Office, which includes all physician-related issues in compliance with corporate guidelines, state and local regulations, and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals. Serves as Privacy Officer for Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.

Qualifications
Education/Licensure Requirements:
High School education or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
Experience:
Combination of training and experience is necessary; extensive knowledge of medical terminology required.
Minimum of 7-10 years experience in health care credentialing, privileging and medical staff services
2 years of leadership experience required
CPMSM Certification by National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) preferred
Skills
Good organization and strong interpersonal relationship skills; communication skills (verbal and written)
Customer-service oriented towards physicians and other hospital employees
Ability to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
Must be able to receive and provide verbal feedback in a professional manner

Strategic Leadership & Integration
- Unify medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations across the academic center, community hospital, and ambulatory/medical group practice settings.
- Serve as the strategic liaison between regional Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), hospital presidents, medical staff officers, and clinical practice leaders.
- Lead, mentor, and oversee Medical Staff Services (MSS) staff across all market locations, fostering professional development and operational alignment.
- Oversee the centralized credentialing, recredentialing, and privileging processes for all physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Ensure seamless provider onboarding and orientation across both inpatient facilities and ambulatory clinic practices.
- Act as the primary administrative leader for the Credentials Committee and facilitate alignment with the Centralized Verification Office (CVO).
- Oversee the continuous professional practice evaluation (OPPE) and focused professional practice evaluation (FPPE) processes.
- Co-lead the Provider Peer Review process to ensure evaluations are handled confidentially and effectively across all entities.
Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain rigorous compliance with standards set by The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), state health departments, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that all medical staff appointments, adverse actions, and reporting requirements (including the National Practitioner Data Bank) are executed according to legal guidelines.
