    Job Details
  • Assessment skills across Pediatric to Geriatric patients with competent knowledge of growth and development stages.
  • Performs thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments.
  • Demonstrates competent clinical skills and provides appropriate nursing care to the unit's patient population.
  • Knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation of nursing process and patient progress, including patient education.
  • Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Promotes patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualizes care according to procedure and anesthesia type.
  • Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and responding to condition changes.
  • Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides pre- and postoperative education.
  • Supports completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness based on surgery, age, and health.
  • Physical requirements as defined by Occupational Safety/OMS.
    Job Requirements
  • One (1) year nursing experience required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • RN License required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
