Assessment skills across Pediatric to Geriatric patients with competent knowledge of growth and development stages.
Performs thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments.
Demonstrates competent clinical skills and provides appropriate nursing care to the unit's patient population.
Knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
Maintains complete and accurate documentation of nursing process and patient progress, including patient education.
Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
Promotes patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
Demonstrates knowledge of surgical patient conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualizes care according to procedure and anesthesia type.
Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and responding to condition changes.
Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides pre- and postoperative education.
Supports completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness based on surgery, age, and health.
Physical requirements as defined by Occupational Safety/OMS.

One (1) year nursing experience required.
BLS certification required.
RN License required.
ACLS certification required.
CNOR certification preferred.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Preferred education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred certification: CNOR.
