Title: Project Manager

Job Status: Full-time, regular

Reports to: Director of Project Engineering - Genevieve Quirion

Location: 3:2 hybrid schedule; 3 days in Boston office, 2 days remote (after initial 3-month in-office only training period)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9-5 PM, w/1-hour for lunch; occasional evenings and weekends

Target Start Date: August 3, 2026

Job Summary: Are you passionate about renewable energy and excited by complex, multi-stakeholder projects? As a Project Manager for New Construction at Resonant Energy, you'll be at the forefront of integrating solar technology with new building development, working directly with internal teams, architects, general contractors, and clients to bring clean energy visions to life, on time and on budget.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage multiple solar projects from design through commissioning, serving as the critical link between our clients' construction teams and our solar installation partners.
  • Coordinate solar array layouts with architectural plans, consult on equipment placement and sizing, and ensure seamless integration with building construction schedules.
  • Negotiate agreements, manage budgets and timelines, and guide projects through permitting and utility interconnection processes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution & Coordination: Deliver multiple solar projects on-time and within budget through seamless coordination with many internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships as the primary point of contact, ensuring positive client experience throughout project delivery.
  • Documentation & Financial Management: Support accurate company financial planning through reliable project budget tracking and timeline management.
  • Process Improvement & Team Contribution: Reduce project risks and costs through identification and implementation of process improvements.

Education, Experience & Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable industry experience or relevant vocational training given equal weight
  • 5+ years in professional environment managing multiple concurrent technical projects or
  • 3+ years managing technical projects paired with 1+ year solar development or building construction experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings (could come from architecture, property management, construction management, engineering, or related fields)
  • Experience with utilities, renewable energy, clean tech, permitting, construction management, and/or regulatory compliance
  • Client-facing or account management experience with demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage expectations
  • Preferred: Direct solar project development or construction management experience
  • Experience on construction sites and familiarity with OSHA compliance
  • Experience with submitting RFPs and competitive bidding
  • Experience with project estimation, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • NABCEP Associate (or higher) certification
  • PMP certification

    • Fundamental Project Management: Manages multiple concurrent solar-construction integration projects with rigor, adaptability, and consistent delivery against scope, schedule, and budget targets
    • Industry and Application Knowledge: Maintains working knowledge of solar PV design, construction integration, interconnection, and permitting processes sufficient to coordinate effectively across all project phases
    • Relationship Building: Builds trust-based, productive relationships with architects, general contractors, installers, utilities, and clients that support efficient project delivery and company reputation
    • Communication: Keeps all project stakeholders appropriately informedadapting message and medium to the audience and navigating challenges with transparency and care
    • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies root causes of project delays or integration challenges and develops creative, independent solutions before escalating
    • Negotiation: Negotiates subcontractor agreements and manages partner performance in ways that advance project goals while preserving productive working relationships
    • Sound Judgment: Makes timely, well-reasoned decisions in complex, ambiguous project conditionsincluding when to escalate and when to resolve independently
    • Computing, Software and Language Skills: Ability to use Google Workspace products, Proficiency in either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, Ability to use a Macbook/Apple OS, Native or fluent English language skills, Preferred: Proficiency in Salesforce or other comparable CRM, Advanced in either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software

    Working Environment & Conditions:

    Work Environment: This role primarily works in a standard, temperature controlled office environment on the second floor of a building with an elevator. Constant sitting or standing; standing desks are provided. Constant computer use. Frequent site visits to oversee work in inaccessible areas, such as roofs. Occasional exposure to hazards. Occasional exposure to adverse conditions. Travel: Frequent site visits that require driving; the company reimburses mileage at federally set rates.

    Compensation & Benefits Package:

    Compensation: Total Compensation: $77,500 - $105,000 Base Salary: $77,500 - $95,000 Performance Bonus: Up to $10,000 annually
