Job Description: Job Description Position Title: Electrical DesignerLocation: Portland, Oregon, United StatesDepartment: Electrical EngineeringDescription: H&H is seeking an Electrical Designer to join the firm's Portland, Oregon, office. This position supports the design, inspection, and evaluation of electrical systems for movable bridges, floating bridges, railroad bridges, ferry slips, stadium movable roof structures, and decorative and functional lighting systems. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of infrastructure projects while developing hands-on experience in both design and field inspection work. ResponsibilitiesParticipate in both office and field assignments involving the design, inspection, rehabilitation, and condition assessment of infrastructure facilitiesPrepare electrical calculations and supporting documentation as part of the basis of designDevelop design plans and construction documents using AutoCAD and MicroStationPerform field inspections and prepare technical reports documenting existing conditions and recommendationsApply applicable engineering standards and codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), AASHTO standards, AREMA guidelines, and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support project deliveryWork effectively with local and remote project teams and technical staffRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringZero to two years of relevant experienceStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software, including AutoCAD and/or MicroStationFundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or active pursuit of the FE examInterest in control systems, power distribution, motor controls, and lighting designExperience supporting transportation, bridge, ferry, or infrastructure-related projectsCandidates local to the Portland, Oregon area are preferredBenefits: We offer a professional work environment, competitive salary, benefits package, and 401(k).EOE M/F/ DISABILITY/VETS PI0df102389dbe-7426
