Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Located in Eastern Edge of Central Texas, beautiful area!

Job Summary:

• Shift 8am to 8am, 24-hour shifts; 1 day (24 hours) off between shifts is acceptable
• Coverage Model: In house with 2 nd OB MD in the community as back up each shift
• Average pt volume: 1-3 deliveries, 10 triages, 1-2 ER/Medicine unit consults, 2100 yearly volume
• Inpatient only
• Procedures required: C/Sections, Operative Vaginal Deliveries, D&C, Laparotomy/ Laparoscopy for emergency Gyn surgery
• % of High/Low risk: Approx 40% high risk that are presented to the Laborist service
• % C-sections vs. Natural births: Primary c/s rate 12% for our service
• EMR: Meditech
