CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a Facilities Engineer for their Suffolk County Property Management client. This is a hands-on role supporting a multi-building property, responsible for maintenance, repairs, and preventive care across building systems, grounds, and amenities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general systems
- Execute preventive maintenance and manage work orders
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors; ensure safety and compliance (OSHA)
- Inspect buildings and identify maintenance needs
- Support site operations (landscaping, snow removal, events, etc.)
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- Maintain tools, inventory, and documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of facilities/maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to emergencies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Commercial real estate experience
- Experience with Yardi, Procore, or work order systems
Compensation: $75,000-$80,000 + benefits and 401(k) with match
