Locum Tenens Job Details - Anesthesiologist (Seneca, PA)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $9,460 - $9,970
  • Assignment Duration: Up to 112 weeks (through July 2027)
  • Start Date: June 4, 2025
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts) plus required on-call pager coverage
  • Case Types: General, Orthopedic, Obstetric, Pediatrics (perioperative and regional anesthesia opportunities)
  • Facility / EMR: Six anesthesia rooms; Epic charting / Epic EMR
  • Supervision Model: MD-to-CRNA ratio typically 1:2 or 1:3 (collaborative practice)
  • Stipends & Housing: Car rental/mileage stipend ($250 weekly); lodging/housing stipend ($110/day)
Anesthesiologist Requirements - Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX certification
  • Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesia
  • Current physician license (ability to obtain Pennsylvania license preferred)
  • Board Certification or Fellowship in Anesthesiology required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience (locum tenens or permanent practice experience)
Clinical Responsibilities - Anesthesia Physician Duties
  • Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department as assigned
  • Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain/verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients and families
  • Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia across a variety of case types
  • Monitor patients' physiological condition throughout procedures and perform clinical interventions as needed
  • Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs (MD:CRNA ratio 1:2 or 1:3)
  • Document care accurately in Epic and participate in quality and safety initiatives
