Position Description:

We are inviting you to come work for a 50+ year old company that is expanding their dump division. Located in Aurora, IL. We are seeking reliable and skilled drivers to join our team, working closely with our customers. The ideal candidates will need to have 2+ years experience in operating with a class A dump truck.

Position Description:

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL A Dump Truck Driver to support ongoing operations at O Hare Airport. This role is responsible for transporting construction materials such as crushed rock, sand, and gravel while maintaining strict adherence to safety, compliance, and operational standards. The ideal candidate brings practical experience in dump truck operations, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining equipment and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport crushed rock, sand, and gravel to and from designated job sites
  • Verify materials being transported and ensure compliance with weight restrictions
  • Ensure proper loading and securement of materials prior to transport
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, lights, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Perform routine maintenance, including greasing the truck every 5,000 miles
  • Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns
  • Follow all construction site safety procedures and company safety policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work environment
    Qualifications:
    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver s License (CDL-A)
    • Current Medical Examiner s Certificate (DOT Card)
    • Clean driving record
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Proven experience operating a standard dump truck in construction or similar environments
    • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, road safety, and construction site protocols
    • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Effective communication and customer service skills
