Anesthesiology - Cardiac Physician

Job description

  • Specialty: Cardiac Anesthesiologist
  • Practice Setting: OR/Surgery Department. Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Dates/Coverage Needed: Beginning ASAC ongoing. Looking for a couple cardiac Anesthesiologist's who can cover 1-2 weeks per month plus call and on weekends for 6 months with the potential to extend. There are 10 or 12 hour shifts available during the week. Call is required and frequency of call is about 15%.
  • Case Mix: Cardiac, Thoracic, and vascular surgery, TAVR, CABG, MitraClip. About 10-15 CV cases per day.
  • Support Staff/Supervision: Care team model - 1:3 or 1:4. Mainly supervisory but MDA's may have the occasional opportunity to work their own cases.
  • Certifications: Must be BC or BE within 5 years of residency. Must have TEE cert, ACLS, and BLS.
  • Credentialing Time-Frame: 60-90 days
  • Active NC License: Must be NC licensed to be submittedThe Independence Difference:
