    Job Details
  • Assists Physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor and treat simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases without surgery.
  • Assists Providers in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization and pain management.
  • Utilizes specialized radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional and/or invasive procedures.
  • Ensures procedures are performed safely and with high quality standards.
  • Prepares patients for procedures and provides comfort.
  • Acts as a scrub tech during procedures.
  • Maintains sterile field and adheres to safety protocols.
  • Responds to patient and family inquiries regarding diagnostic testing and results.
  • Collaborates with team members across OU Health to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Conducts post-testing quality reviews and documentation.
  • Transfers images and data to electronic health systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
  • Performs quality control, cleaning, disinfecting and equipment maintenance.
  • Assists with quality assurance, audits and performance improvement tasks.
  • Provides on-call clinical coverage outside regular hours as assigned.
  • May engage in teaching students and serve as a departmental preceptor.
  • Assists with onboarding new team members.
    Job Requirements
  • Knowledge and skill in medical imaging principles, patient positioning and medical ethics.
  • Core knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to specialty imaging procedures.
  • Ability to perform, post-process, analyze and annotate study data or procedure documentation.
  • Consistent application of sterile field knowledge to ensure patient safety.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide care appropriate to age and patient populations served.
  • Knowledge and application of HIPAA guidelines and standards.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete clinical and non-clinical assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
  • Dependability in reporting to work as scheduled.
  • Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
  • Graduate of post-secondary educational program in health science (cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT) as defined by ARRT or CCI.
  • Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
  • ARRT(RT), RCES or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire.
    Schedule Information
  • 4x10 hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • On-call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.
