Job description

  • Specialty:
    • Emergency Medicine
    • Looking for ABEM or ABFM/ABIM w/ 3+ years of experience
  • Coverage Needs:
    • Need ASAP - Ongoing
    • Must be able to cover 5+ shifts per month
  • Shifts:
    • 7a-7p OR 7p-7a
  • Setting:
    • Independent community regional hospital
    • Level 3 Trauma Center
    • ICU support
    • Also a level 2 stroke center
    • Routinely handles Stroke alerts, STEMI activations, Trauma stabilization
  • Census:
    • 35 ED beds
    • 36k annual volume
    • Average 98 ED patients per day
    • 22% Pediatric
    • 5%, OBGYN
    • 9% Trauma
    • 12% Geriatric
  • Support Staff:
    • 24-36 Hours Advanced Practitioner Coverage (Fri-Mon 36 Hours; Tues-Thurs 24 Hours)
    • APPs work between Main ED & Fast Track
  • Procedures:
    • All Standard ER procedures
  • EMR:
    • Meditech with Dragon
  • Board Certification:
    • Board Certified Required
  • Travel:
    • Hospital will cover
  • Credentialing timeline:
    • Will take 90 days
  • Requirements:
    • Active MO state license
    • Active DEA and CDS in MO or willing to transfer
    • ATLS, ACLS
