Job description

  • Specialty:
    • Emergency Medicine
    • Will take ABEM or ABIM/ABFM
  • Coverage Needs:
    • Need ASAP - Ongoing
    • Must be able to cover 3+ shifts per month
    • Must be open to days and nights
    • Have 10-12 shifts per month to cover
  • Shifts:
    • 7a - 7p or 7p-7a
  • Setting:
    • Critical Access Hospital
    • Level 3 trauma center
    • Medium acuity
  • Census:
    • 10 ED beds
    • 28k annual ED volume
  • Support Staff:
    • 24 hours of physician coverage daily
  • Procedures:
    • All Standard ER procedures
    • Specialty services: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology, Gastroenterology, ICU, Ortho, Psych, Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging, General Surgery
  • EMR:
    • Cerner
  • Board Certification:
    • Board Certified Required
  • Travel:
    • Hospital will cover
  • Credentialing timeline:
    • Expedited Onboarding hoping for ASAP start
  • Requirements:
    • Active LA state license
    • Active DEA in LA or willing to transfer
    • ATLS, ACLS, PALS
