Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Director of Procedural Practice, you will join a team dedicated to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we serve in Durango and the surrounding region.

Every day you will provide clinical leadership while partnering with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, perioperative services, anesthesia, and executive teams to strengthen procedural services across the organization. You will help develop strategic initiatives, improve quality and operational performance, optimize patient access, enhance procedural efficiency, and support physician recruitment and program growth. You will champion evidence-based practices, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and lead initiatives that improve patient safety, standardize best practices, and expand access to high-quality procedural care throughout the region.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate physician with leadership experience in procedural medicine and a passion for advancing clinical excellence.

  • This position will provide visionary clinical leadership while advancing high-quality procedural services across our integrated delivery system.
  • You will support organizational goals through clinical excellence, physician engagement, quality improvement, exceptional patient experience, and strategic procedural service line development.
  • Through your leadership, you will help advance a sustainable, growing, and distinctive organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout Southwest Colorado.
  • You will possess expertise in procedural practice management, quality improvement, physician engagement, and operational leadership, along with strong communication abilities, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care, quality outcomes, provider engagement, and continuous improvement. Job Requirements

Required:

  • Doctorate (MD or DO) in Medicine required
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required
  • Strong previous performance of providing quality and efficiency in patient care and operations.
  • Strong track record of recruitment, retention of talent and leadership development.
  • Experience with leading and redirecting talent as needed.
  • Strong ability to lead in a changing environment. Budgetary, P&L and Quality Assurance experience for a physician practice

Pay Range
$18.00 - $824.00 /hour
