Westchester County, New York - Surgical Physician Assistant Job
Clinical Role:

- Permanent position
- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Physician Assistant
- Hospital-based surgical practice
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Work alongside an experienced team of surgeons and APPs
- First assist in a wide variety of surgical specialties, including:
- General Surgery
- Bariatric Surgery
- Head & Neck Surgery
- OB/GYN
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Thoracic Surgery
- Plastic Surgery
- DaVinci robotic experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
- Morning rounds on pre- and post-operative patients
- Complete H&Ps for routine and emergent admissions
- Perform surgical consultations
- Comfortable working independently when needed
- Procedures include:
- Central lines
- Arterial lines
- Chest tubes
- Dialysis catheters
- Incision and drainage
- Call schedule:
- Typically one weeknight per week
- Every 5th weekend (moving to every 6th weekend)
- Candidates should live within approximately 30 minutes of the hospital for call
