Job description

Job Description:
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 7a-5p, no calls
  • Dates Needed Coverage: Aug 1 2026 - TBD
  • Practice Percentage: Adult 80%; Trauma 20%
  • Patient Age Demographic: Mostly Adult
  • 60 surgical cases a day (50% general / 10% neuro / 20% complex vascular / 20% complex ortho)
  • Locum tenens requires supervising CRNAs: Yes, 40% of the time - CRNAs or AAs, a total of 3 at a time
  • Trauma Level 1
  • Locum tenens physician responsible for preparing anesthesia chart: No, and the facility has difficult airway equipment
  • EPIC (Hospital & Surgical Center)
  • Procedures: General Anesthesia: Adult & Trauma, Acute Pain Management, Spinal Anesthesia, Epidural Anesthesia, Central Line, Arterial Line, Regional Anesthesia Surgery, Obstetrical Cases, Neurosurgical Cases, Complex Vascular cases (except open heart), Complex orthopedic cases, Local Infiltration, Use of ultrasound in the placement of blocks, Ventilation mgmt., Eval. and mgmt. of acute volume / BP issues, Arterial line placement, Minor Nerve Blocks, IV Regional Anesthesia, and CRNA supervision
Requirement:
  • Board Certified
  • Active CO License or IMLC
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS
Qualifying questions:
  • Are you willing to provide full-time or 1-2 week continuous coverage
  • Are you a Board Certified Physician
  • Do you have a License in CO and IMLC
