Position Overview:
Interventional cardiology opportunity combining outpatient clinic and inpatient call coverage. This role offers a balanced mix of procedures, consults, and clinic responsibilities within a collaborative team environment. Preference is given to full-time providers able to commit to consistent monthly coverage.
Practice Details:
- Setting: Clinic and Hospital
- Patient Volume:
- Clinic: patients per day
- Inpatient/Rounding: 5 10 consults per day
- EMR: Epic
Procedures/Cases:
- Diagnostic catheterizations
- Angioplasty and stenting
- Stress echocardiography and nuclear stress tests
- Echocardiogram, Holter, and event monitor interpretation
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Cardioversions
Schedule:
- Clinic Hours:
- Monday Thursday: 9:00 AM 3:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
- Call Requirements:
- Weekday Call: 8:00 AM 8:00 AM
- Weekend Call: Friday 8:00 AM Monday 8:00 AM
- Call is shared in rotation with other providers
- Minimum Availability: 3 weeks per month required
Call & Overtime Details:
- 24-hour call includes 0 4 hours of mandatory gratis time
- Callback averages: 4 6 hours (varies based on interventional/general coverage needs)
- Providers may not exceed 5 hours of overtime per week (strict requirement)
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: 06/15/2026
- Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (Interventional preferred)
- Active Iowa license preferred; will consider licensing candidates
- IMLC accepted
