    Job Details
  • Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
  • Assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments.
  • Assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum qualifications required for services: Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital operating room.
  • Candidate must be able to scrub (general) and circulate all types of cases.
  • Competent in General Surgery (laparoscopic and robotic), orthopedics/spine/podiatry, urology, ENT, and vascular.
    Schedule Information
  • 5x8 schedule.
  • Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
  • No call, weekend or holiday.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Must be able to scrub and circulate all types of cases in the OR
    Additional Details
  • Preferred Education: BSN
  • Preferred Certifications & Licensure: ACLS-AHA, PALS
