A healthcare organization is seeking an OB/GYN physician for an ongoing locums assignment in a supportive critical access hospital setting.
Position Highlights:
- Ongoing assignment (9 12 months)
- 24-hour call schedule (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
- 6 8 call shifts per month
- Sole provider while on call
- Travel and lodging provided
Practice Setting:
- Critical access hospital and clinic
- Inpatient and outpatient coverage
Clinical Responsibilities:
- OB/GYN clinic care
- Call coverage for L&D and ED
- Routine and complicated deliveries
- C-sections (assist/supervise as needed)
- OB inductions
- Emergent GYN surgeries
- FHR interpretation required
Volume & Case Mix:
- deliveries per month
- Mix of low- and high-risk OB
- 20% surgical GYN
- Clinic volume: 18 patients per day
Support & Resources:
- Collaborative OB team including OB/GYNs, FPBOs, and CNMs
- L&D RNs and clinic support staff
- CRNA and OR support available
- EMR: Epic
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Active Washington medical license
- DEA and BLS required
- Comfortable with full-scope OB/GYN care
Additional Information:
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 3 months
