Hematology/Oncology Physician

Job description

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Call: Shared 1:5 rotation, 5:00 PM 7:00 AM, with APP support
Practice Details:
  • Mix of outpatient clinic, infusion center, and inpatient consults
  • Cancer center attached to the hospital
  • 90%+ Hematology, less than 10% Solid Tumor Oncology
  • Treat both benign and malignant hematology patients
  • No Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) or other advanced academic treatments
  • EMR: Epic
Patient Volume:
  • Clinic: 15 patients/day
  • Hospital: patients/day
  • Adult & Geriatric patients
Team:
  • 6 Physicians
  • 5 Inpatient APPs (covering 2 hospitals)
  • 6 Outpatient APPs
  • Radiation Oncologists available
Responsibilities :
  • Outpatient & inpatient hematology care
  • Occasional solid tumor coverage when needed
  • Perform FNA/Biopsies
  • Participate in Tumor Board
  • Order tests, imaging, and prescribe medications
Requirements :
  • Board Certified Required
  • BLS Required
  • Michigan License Strongly preferred (will consider candidates willing to obtain one)
