Job title: Licensed Plumber for Dautriel's Plumbing
Job summary
A skilled and experienced Licensed Plumber is needed to join our team. The Licensed Plumber installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This individual diagnoses issues, follows blueprints and codes, and ensures efficient and safe plumbing operations. The plumber works independently and collaboratively with other professionals to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and related fixtures and appliances (e.g., sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, dishwashers).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, or system malfunctions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Estimate time, materials, and costs for plumbing jobs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining plumbing problems and solutions clearly and concisely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to safety protocols, and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Supervise and train apprentice plumbers.
- Install water filtration systems
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state plumbing license.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical strength, stamina, and manual dexterity to perform demanding tasks and work in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
- Awareness and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Preferred:
- 3 or more years of experience as a Licensed Journeyman Plumber.
- Experience with specific plumbing systems or specialties (e.g., gas lines, fire sprinkler systems, drain cleaning).
- Proficiency and experience with relevant software such as Service Titan, HouseCall Pro, etc.
Work environment
Plumbers work in various settings, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. The job can involve working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in demanding conditions and potentially confined spaces. All plumbers must participate in a rotating list of on-call plumbers for emergency work outside of normal business hours.
