Job Title: Fuel Customer Service Representative

Summary
A Fuel Oil Customer Service Representative acts as the primary link between the energy provider and the consumer. They process fuel orders, manage delivery scheduling, address billing inquiries, and promote specialized heating programs. Representatives ensure seamless service while strictly communicating company safety and compliance policies.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. You will engage with clients to understand their needs, provide information about our products and services, and ultimately drive sales by converting inquiries into orders. Your expertise in customer service and sales will be pivotal in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Takes inbound calls or emails to schedule, process, and track residential and commercial fuel oil deliveries
- Actively promotes and sells fuel products, service plans, and related offerings to potential and existing customers
- Responds promptly to customer inquiries via phone or email, providing accurate information about Moyer Fuel's products and services
- Efficiently processes customer orders, ensuring accuracy in detail such as delivery schedules and payment arrangements
- Handles customer complaints and issues with professionalism, ensuring timely resolution to maintain customer satisfaction
- Builds strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing tailored solutions
- Stays informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively communicate value propositions to customers
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum two years' of customer facing experience with relevant experience in office administration, call centers or customer service sales, preferably within the fuel or energy sector
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused, empathetic, and professional demeanor
- Solid high school-level mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), ability to read and understand decimals and percentages (e.g., calculating gallons, tank percentages like , and balancing accounts)
- Basic computer proficiency, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with ability to remain calm and efficient during high-volume periods (such as winter months) and in emergency or stressful situations
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building rapport
Physical Requirements:
- Full-time work, 40-45 hours weekly
- Extended periods of stationary activity at a workstation
- High volume operations during winter months, requiring fast-paced order processing
- No lifting more than general office supplies
- Prolonged periods of focusing on computer screens
- Continual keyboarding and data entry
