Job Overview: Director for Late Phase clinical trials, responsible for leading and executing the business development strategy focused on Phase II - IV stages of clinical trials. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive growth, build client relationships, and oversee successful acquisition and management of projects within late phase clinical trials areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and expand the market presence of the Late Phase studies.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Set short-term and long-term goals for the business development team aligned with the overall organizational objectives.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, sponsors, and industry partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met and exceeded.
- Organize and attend client meetings, presentations, and conferences to promote the company's capabilities and services.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, collaborations, and new client acquisitions.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to potential clients, highlighting the unique value proposition of the Late Phase clinical trials services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the business development team.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Project Oversight:
- Oversee the proposal development process, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges that arise.
Reporting:
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to business development activities, including lead generation, conversion rates, revenue growth, and client satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business development progress, achievements, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in life sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development within the CRO industry with a focus on Late Phase clinical trials.
- Proven track record of successfully leading business development teams and achieving growth targets.
- Strong understanding of clinical trials and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
