We are a leading manufacturer of custom tooling for the packaging industry, dedicated to outputting quality products and world-class service. Our company has been in operation for over 30 years and specializes in steel-rule cutting dies and printing plates.
Currently, we are looking to expand our Inside Sales team by bringing on an individual to assist with customer service and estimating. The Work Environment
This is a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and a high volume of work. Teamwork is crucial to our organization. The individual hired for this position will primarily be working in a typical office environment, but must be comfortable spending time on the production floor to attend the daily pre-production meeting and, as needed, to communicate and coordinate with co-workers assigned to these areas.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Responding effectively, courteously, and in a timely manner to customer inquiries, requests, or complaints via email and phone
- Acting as a liaison between customers and ClearCut's other internal departments
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the best possible service is provided to our customers
- Reviewing and processing incoming quote/pricing requests and orders
- Working within Excel to run price calculations based on time, materials, product type, and specifications
- Scheduling approved orders within the production and delivery teams
- Helping to maintain shared inboxes for customer service and estimating teams
- Facilitating sample and die pick ups from customers
- Following up with customers regarding pending orders and open requests (i.e. for missing information/files)
- Maintaining proper paperwork for orders and quotes
- Reviewing technical concerns with our production teams
- Data entry, phone coverage, and other basic administrative duties as necessary/required
- Supporting the company mission and working harmoniously with the team
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Customer centric approach
- Skilled friendly, diplomatic, and confident in customer relations
- Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills
- Proficient in use of the Microsoft Office suite
- Able to read a ruler to 1/16"
- Strong analytical skills/Socratic thinking
- Understanding of basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, decimals, geometry, etc.
- Detail and accuracy oriented
- Ability to work both in a team and individually
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficient in touch typing and utilizing keyboard shortcuts
- Computer literate and able to quickly learn and adapt to new software
A background in packaging, die cutting, graphic arts, and/or flexographic printing are all desirable but not required.
2+ years relatable experience strongly preferred.
Industry specific training will be provided if hired
