Quality Control / Solder Technician in a Growing and Quality Environment


1st Shift Position

Qualifications:

Experience: Entry-mid level with experience

Special Process: Basic background in soldering, assembly drawings, bills of materials, conformal coating, and solder repair desired.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential functions as required. Need to have good eye and hand coordination with color perception.

Basic Function: Follows all PCB assembly procedures in compliance to ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of assembly tasks that require the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions and a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Refers to process documentation (drawings, travelers, BOM's, and specifications) to perform simple assembly and soldering tasks.
  • Must become knowledgeable in the use of all basic assembly equipment in the dept.
  • Learns and uses microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, epoxy/cures, inspection processes, and good soldering techniques. During assembling may perform such tasks as soldering, conformal coating, inspection, and repair.
  • Must inspect all workmanship and special processes following the process documentation ensuring product quality to the end customer.
  • Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status.
  • Responsible for knowing and using proper ESD procedures.
  • Understands their role in following ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing standards.
  • Performs all necessary tasks efficiently and accurately by following established written procedures.
  • Maintains an organized work environment necessary for the efficient operation.
  • Keeps equipment and department neat and clean at all times.
  • Performs other related duties as directed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Teamwork in a high paced environment to achieve excellence and continuous improvement.
  • IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification a plus.


Requirements:

  • Previous soldering skills of components
  • Inspection of finished product to a high level of quality standards
  • Detail oriented to achieve zero defects
  • Reliable transportation to be at work on a daily basis and ready to perform duties as necessary

Working Hours:

  • Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8am until 5:30pm and Friday from 8am until 12pm with lunch and breaks. Some overtime may be required as needed.

Pay:

  • This is an hourly position with overtime pay for time worked in excess of 40 hours per week. Pay is commensurate with experience.
