Job Overview
Join a dynamic Emergency Department team as a locum Physician Assistant, collaborating with board-certified ER physicians, nurses, and support staff. Provide high-volume patient care in a trauma designated rural setting with autonomy and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full-spectrum Emergency Department care adult, pediatric, and trauma cases
Manage and treat approximately 45 patients/day in a fast-paced ED
Perform ED procedures, document findings, and manage patient flow
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and critical care interventions
Work independently, backed by on-site physician oversight
Provide holiday and weekend coverage per schedule requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Board Certified/Eligible PA-C (emergency experience preferred)
Active North Dakota PA license or track record of rapid licensure
DEA registration active or in process
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (required upon application)
Familiar with Meditech EMR or similar systems
Confident handling Level 4 trauma cases independently
Strong clinical judgment, procedural capability, and communication skills
