Position Summary: To provide safe, quality childcare of infants and preschool aged children.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe environment for infant and preschool children in the nursery.
- Supervise the volunteers that are assigned to assist.
- Check in and out the children so they are safely returned to their appropriate parents or guardians.
- Monitor the toys and resources, updating the Corps Officers if new items are needed and discarding of old/dangerous items.
- Ensure the nursery space is cleaned at the end of each shift.
- Document injuries or issues as they arise, properly informing parents and Corps Officers.
- Maintain and report statistics for all community center activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma / GED; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Experience working with children
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Ability to interact with different personality types
- Energetic personality
- Ability to work varied shifts, to include Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday as needed
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Basic knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
