A Level II Trauma Center in the Florida Panhandle is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist (MD) for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This role offers a structured weekday schedule, call opportunities, and a diverse surgical case mix within a collaborative hospital environment.
️ Important: Due to facility requirements, clinicians must reside greater than 60 minutes from the site location. Local candidates within 60 minutes are not eligible.
Assignment Details
Start: Upon credentialing
Assignment Length: Ongoing coverage
Priority given to providers with an active Florida license and DEA
Providers available to assist with call coverage are prioritized
Schedule
7:00 AM 3:00 PM (Mon Fri) Day coverage
3:00 PM 5:00 PM (Mon Fri) Late coverage
5:00 PM 7:00 AM (Mon Fri) Overnight call
Weekend Call: Saturday Sunday (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
Practice Setting
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia for cardiac and complex surgical procedures
Perform and interpret Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Work across a broad surgical case mix, including:
Cardiac and thoracic
Major vascular
General surgery
Orthopedics
Neurosurgery
Trauma
GI procedures
Outpatient surgery
Additional specialties including ENT, urology, plastics, podiatry, and spine
Requirements
Board Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist (MD)
TEE experience required
Active Florida license and DEA
ACLS, PALS, and BLS (AHA) required
Current TB test required
24 months of case logs required for credentialing
