Position Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic, and major chest surgical procedures
Support a wide range of cases, including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Heart valve surgery
- Complex aortic procedures
- Minimally invasive and robotic cardiothoracic surgeries
- Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
- Esophageal resections and other thoracic procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nursing teams, and other specialists
Ensure safe, evidence-based perioperative anesthesia management
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
Completion of a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Active Nevada Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications
DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
Preferred Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) / Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
