Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Addiction Psychiatrist to join a mission-driven behavioral health and addiction treatment organization as an Associate Medical Director. This leadership-focused role involves providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals recovering from substance use disorders while supporting clinical operations and multidisciplinary care teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Medical Director in overseeing clinical operations and patient care.
- Provide outpatient psychiatric and addiction medicine services.
- Supervise detoxification and recovery-focused treatment plans.
- Collaborate with nursing, medical, and behavioral health teams.
- Participate in on-call coverage on a rotating schedule.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and staff
Qualifications Required - MD or DO with active North Carolina and South Carolina licensure
- Board Certification in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine/Psychiatry or ASAM certification
- Strong clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment
- Experience with detox, dual diagnosis, and recovery-based care models
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
