What You ll Do
- Manage ventilator support in critical care patients, collaborating with respiratory therapists
- Monitor and admit critical care patients from emergency departments, hospital floors, and surrounding hospitals
- Perform procedures including placement of central lines, arterial lines, and dialysis catheters
- Assess patient status overnight, assist with decompensation, and update families on care goals
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system
- Provide autonomous care to adult critical care patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Support ongoing patient recovery and facilitate smooth transitions of care
What You Need
Required: - Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
- ICU or Critical Care experience (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to perform procedures such as CVLs, arterial lines, dialysis catheters
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills
Preferred: - Recent inpatient critical care experience
- EPIC EMR proficiency
