Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner
Position Overview
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner for PRN coverage in a hospital-based orthopedic practice. Responsibilities include clinic, surgical assistance, inpatient rounding, emergency department consults, trauma coverage, and orthopedic call.
Compensation:
Hourly: $140/hr
Overtime: $195/hr
Night Call: $330
Call Back: $195/hr
Schedule
PRN coverage as needed
Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Weeknight call required
Weekend 24-hour call required
August start possible

Practice Setting
Hospital-based Orthopedic Surgery
Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
No telehealth
Teaching environment with Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and PA student rotations
Responsibilities
Orthopedic clinic
Surgical assistance in the OR
Post-operative inpatient rounding
Emergency department consultations
Orthopedic and trauma call coverage
Fracture care and orthopedic evaluations

Nursing support and cast technicians

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner
Active Iowa license or Active Compact/IMLC LOQ required
Clean malpractice history
Updated CV required at presentation
