- Start Date: August 1, 2026
- End Date: July 1, 2027
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $10,000 - $11,850
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (office hours)
- Weekend Rounds: Assigned weekends, 4 hours per day onsite
- Call: After-hours phone call for urgent matters, no in-person return required
- Patient Volume: 12-15 patient encounters per shift
- Travel: Possible travel up to 2 days per week to Somerset office (approx 30 minutes)
- Duration: 11 months with locums-to-perm potential
Job Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact with Letter of Qualification (IMLC LOQ)
- Completion of Pennsylvania-mandated education: 3 hours child abuse recognition/reporting and 4 hours pain management/opioid prescribing
- Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hematology/oncology practice
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care, including chemotherapy oversight and infusion coordination
- Perform hospital rounds and inpatient consults on assigned weeks
- Participate in assigned weekend hospital rounds (4 hours per day)
- Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and infusion teams
- Respond to after-hours urgent patient calls; no in-person return required
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care coordination with nurse navigators
- Travel to outlying Somerset office as needed
