- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (Fri, July 3 at 5pm to Mon, July 6 at 7am)

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Fellowship training in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery (required)
- Board certified in Cardiovascular Surgery (Cardiac/Cardiothoracic) (required)
- Active South Carolina medical license (required) - Greenville, SC locum requirement
- Active ACLS certification (required)
- Clean background and ability to provide a self-query NPDB report (required)
- Minimum 1 year of post-fellowship clinical experience as a practicing cardiovascular/cardiac surgeon
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR documentation preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide hospital-based cardiovascular surgical care including pre-op and post-op rounding and intraoperative responsibilities
- Perform cardiovascular procedures such as aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), and heart valve repair/replacement
- Provide 24-hour call coverage during scheduled shifts and respond to emergent cardiac surgical needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (cardiology, anesthesia, ICU, OR staff) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document all patient care accurately and promptly in the EPIC EMR system
- Participate in handoffs, perioperative planning, and quality improvement initiatives as needed
