Bronx, New York - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Job Clinical Role

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Seeking a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) - must have post training pediatric experience
  • Outpatient-only practice
  • Spanish speaking preferred, not required
  • Possible phone call responsibilities
  • Clinic hours vary based on location and practice needs
  • Perform comprehensive pediatric assessments, physical exams, and developmental evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries
  • Manage chronic pediatric conditions including asthma, diabetes, ADHD, and obesity
  • Prescribe and manage medications
  • Perform minor office procedures, including immunizations and wound care
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists
  • Conduct well-child visits and provide preventive care
  • Educate patients and families on nutrition, safety, development, and healthy lifestyles
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide mentorship when appropriate
  • Active New York RN and APRN licenses required
  • Master's (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification required (PNCB or ANCC)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Clinical pediatric experience preferred, ideally in an outpatient setting
  • Work for a large multispecialty group with locations throughout the Greater New York City area
