OB/GYN Physician Assistant (Locum Tenens) Colorado Springs, CO Join a High-Volume, Level I Trauma Health System in the Rocky Mountains
Are you an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in Women s Health? UCHealth Printers Park Medical Plaza is seeking a dedicated PA to join their OB/GYN team. This role offers a balanced mix of clinic-based care and hospital coverage within a respected health system committed to the "personal touch" in medicine.
The Opportunity Work alongside a robust team of 5 OB/GYNs and 2 Mid-level providers in a facility that manages a diverse caseload, from routine prenatal care to Level I Trauma support.
Clinical Scope: Primarily clinic-based (8:00 AM 5:00 PM) with a high volume of low-risk pregnancies (70%) and surgical GYN support.
Case Load: Manage approximately 20 patients per day in a modern 11-room clinic. Responsibilities include NST/FSE interpretation, routine and complicated delivery support, and repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations.
Hospital Coverage: Provide support at Memorial Central Hospital, a 413-bed, Level I Trauma Center located just over a mile from the clinic.
Call Schedule: 1 in 5 days for standard call; 1 in 10 for overnights and weekends.
Technology & Support: Access to onsite lab and ultrasound (tech-performed), as well as equipment for Colposcopy, LEEP, and US.

Compensation & Travel Hourly Rate: Competitive pay capped at $290/hour.
Overtime: Capped at $435/hour.
Travel Reimbursement: Full coverage for flights (up to $750), lodging ($150/night cap), and economy rental car. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
Orientation: Paid at a specialized orientation rate.
Candidate Requirements To maintain UCHealth s high standards of patient care, candidates must meet the following:
Certification: Must be a Board Certified Physician Assistant with specific OB/GYN experience.
Licensure: Active Colorado State Medical License is strongly preferred.
Life Support: Active BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required.
Clinical Proficiency: Must be experienced in FHR interpretation, routine and complicated deliveries (C-sections, breech, VBACs), and laceration repair.
Preferred Skills: Experience with high-risk pregnancies (toxemia, diabetes, cardiac issues) and office/minor GYN procedures (IUD, LEEP, Cystoscopy) is highly valued.
Documentation: A current Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) is required at the time of presentation.
