Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our General Surgeon, you will join a team dedicated to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we serve in Durango and the surrounding region. This position will provide exceptional surgical care while contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system. You will support organizational goals through clinical excellence, physician collaboration, exceptional patient experience, and strong community engagement.


Every day you will provide comprehensive surgical care, including consultation, diagnosis, operative management, and postoperative follow-up for a wide range of conditions. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesiologists, nursing teams, and hospital leadership to ensure outstanding patient outcomes and a seamless care experience. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans, promote quality and safety initiatives, and ensure access to high-quality surgical services throughout the region.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, robotically trained. board-certified, and compassionate General Surgeon who is committed to delivering exceptional surgical care. You will possess strong communication abilities, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Mus t have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") registration;
  • Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Active or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required

$375,000 - $475,000
