Emergency Medicine Physician

Position Overview

A community hospital in North-Central Indiana is seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician to provide ongoing coverage in a well-supported emergency department.

Facility Overview

• Annual ED Volume: 20,000 visits

• Patients per Hour: 1.5

• Admission Rate: 10%

• ED Beds: 14

• Hospital Beds: 83

• EMR: Cerner

• Dictation: Dragon

Coverage Model

• 24-hour physician coverage

• 12 hours APP coverage daily

Board Requirements

• ABEM / BEEM

• OR ABFM / ABIM with Emergency Medicine experience

Certification Requirements

ABEM Providers

• NALS or NRP required

FM / IM / BEEM Providers

• ACLS

• ATLS

• NALS or NRP

• PALS

Required Qualifications

• Active or eligible Indiana medical license

• Board Certified or Board Eligible

• Experience managing community emergency department settings

• Ability to treat a broad range of emergency medical conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Cerner EMR

• Prior locum tenens assignments

• Experience supervising or collaborating with APP providers

Compensation & Benefits

• $240 $260 per hour
