Oncology Physician
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Day 8 Pay Rate: $309.43 - $334.95

This facility is seeking an Oncology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.


Details and requirements for this opportunity:


  • Schedule: 2 FTE need October 20260 - ongoing Monday - Sunday 8:00am-4:00pm, 7 on 7 off
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • Type of cases and required procedures: Inpatient consultations from Hospitalist, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Medicine (EM), Surgery, Pulmonary / Critical Care Oncology, neurology, Radiation/Oncology, neurosurgery. The oncologist would evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with: Newly diagnosed malignancies, Solid tumors (lung, breast, colorectal, pancreatic, Genitourinary Oncology (GU), melanoma, etc.). Hematologic malignancies (lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma) if included in the assignment. Complications from chemotherapy or immunotherapy. Neutropenic fever. Tumor lysis syndrome. Hypercalcemia of malignancy. Spinal cord compression. Malignant pleural effusions and ascites. Cancer-associated thrombosis. Uncontrolled cancer-related pain. Rounding, treatment planning, Daily IP call for Telephone consults. New inpatient admissions overnight. Urgent oncology issues. Chemotherapy complications. Goals-of-care discussions
  • Credentialing timeframe: 30 days
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
  • Certifications required: Board Certification
  • Licensure required: Tennessee License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
