Hematologist Benign Hematology

The OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center seeks a Benign Hematologist for a community/academic hybrid faculty position focused on Benign Hematology. This role spans patient care, teaching, and research, with opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary clinics and contribute to academic programs. Academic rank is commensurate with experience. Possible tracks include Clinician, Clinician-Educator, and Clinician-Scientist.

Assistant Professors and Associate Professors in clinical pathways participate in the training of medical students, residents and fellows in Hematology and Oncology. ln addition, they participate in graduate courses as part of the medical school curriculum, precept students as they learn physical diagnosis skills and supervise students when assigned to clinical settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive care for patients with benign hematology disorders at the Stephenson Cancer Center
• Supervise medical residents and fellows in clinical settings
• Participate in formal didactic sessions including medical grand rounds, resident, and fellow conferences
• Attend on the inpatient hematology service and in the fellow s teaching clinic
• Develop scholarly activities by participating in sectional research and other scholarly activities

Required Qualifications:
• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in Hematology
• Strong knowledge of Benign Hematologic Disorders diagnosis, treatment, and management
• Eligible for medical licensure and DEA registration in the State of Oklahoma.
• Academic credentials commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor
