This onsite contract opportunity focuses on delivering specialized instruction in a dedicated DCD Centerbase classroom, helping students to achieve their greatest potential in both academic and social-emotional growth. Role Highlights:Begin your assignment at the start of the academic year, running from late August through early June, Monday through Friday, for a full-time schedule.Guide and mentor young learners by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), tailoring instruction to meet diverse needs within the Centerbase setting.Collaborate closely with a team of passionate educators, support staff, and families to create an engaging and supportive classroom community.Monitor progress through assessments and evaluations, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.Encourage independence and self-advocacy, promoting a positive and safe classroom for all students. Desired Experience and Qualifications:Active Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required; applications must include certification and current resume).Proven background as a Special Education Teacher with experience supporting students with developmental and cognitive delays at the elementary level.Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with experience creating and implementing IEPs.Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
