Job Title: Production Assembly Technician Location: St. Paul, MN Duration: 24+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension) Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with possible overtime Pay Range: $20/hr to $22/hr Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate has experience with electronics manufacturing, box builds, cable assemblies, soldering, and production testing in a fast-paced environment. This position also partners closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve production processes, maintain technical documentation, and ensure high-quality product delivery. Key Responsibilities: Perform electromechanical assembly and integration of complex systems. Complete box builds, cable assemblies, and wire harness fabrication. Perform soldering, programming, system checkout, testing, and troubleshooting. Diagnose, repair, and resolve hardware issues. Support production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders. Maintain accurate production, assembly, and test documentation. Collaborate with engineering on design updates and manufacturing improvements. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for manufacturing partners. Support quality assurance processes and help eliminate production defects. Perform inspection, testing, and validation of completed assemblies. Assist with inventory and material readiness to support production. Participate in product testing, including occasional field or flight testing when required. Required Qualifications: Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant production assembly experience. Experience with electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with: Box builds assembly, Cable assembly and wire harnesses, electronic soldering, System integration, Testing and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 Drone Certification within three months of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) programming. Experience with optical assembly, alignment, and focusing. Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. Experience with PTC Creo or other 3D CAD software. Background in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, robotics, medical devices, industrial automation, or UAV/drone systems. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for approximately 30% of the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
