Accounts Payable Associate

Job description

LHH is actively seeking an Accounts Payable Associate for one of our top clients in Fountain Valley! This will be a contract opportunity with our client and will report onsite to our client's office in Fountain Valley.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Payable Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable transactions from request through payment while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable payment requests, ensuring proper account coding, approvals, and timely payment.
  • Review and validate ledger account coding and supporting documentation.
  • Administer Corporate Card programs, with a primary focus on Procurement Cards, including:
    • Creating and maintaining cardholder accounts
    • Monitoring credit limits
    • Ensuring timely reconciliation of outstanding balances
    • Processing monthly payment runs
    • Maintaining compliance with company policies
  • Process employee travel expense reports using SAP Concur.
  • Manage assigned Accounts Payable interface processing for designated business units, including more complex transactions beyond standard invoice processing.
  • Support payment processing by preparing payment batches, routing approvals, and coordinating check distribution.
  • Perform routine account reconciliations between source documentation and subsidiary/general ledger accounts.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, dealers, and employees regarding payment status, invoice issues, 1099 reporting, and other Accounts Payable matters.
  • Assist with interim and year-end audit requests while supporting internal controls and compliance with KSOX (ICFR) requirements.
  • Provide support on additional accounting and finance projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience, preferably within a large or multinational organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with SAP ERP required/preferred (adjust as applicable); experience with SAP Concur and Bank of America Works is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Pivot Tables
    • Data management and manipulation
    • Concatenate functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour
